The History of New Creation Bible Church

This local church was planted July 12, 2001, under the pastoral leadership of Dr. Billy J. Bell, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Its name, New Creation Bible Church [NCBC], was chosen after continuous prayer followed by conformation from the Lord.

The church held its first service with twenty-eight members present at the home of Pastor and Mrs. Bell. These charter members were excited and honored to be co-laborers with Jesus Christ in the witnessing and disciple-making process.

The cloud was taken up and came to rest at Southern Skates Roller Rink in the southern sector of the city. Leadership training was the primary focus while continuing to teach the uncompromising word of God.

Local ministry involvement included jail and prison in Dallas and Anderson Counties, respectively, and a nursing home within Dallas proper. A bible study curriculum was developed and taught at a nearby apartment complex. These weekly classes were available to all age groups of both NCBC members and the apartment residents. New Creation partnered with three other local churches in sponsoring a Habitat for Humanity project. A new home was constructed in the Oak Cliff area.

NCBC became a member of NeedHim, a telephone ministry where calls are answered by a group of dedicated volunteers who impart the gospel message and respond to prayer request. Several New Creationites trained and served as counselors and children group leaders during the Billy Graham Crusade Metroplex Mission held in October 2002. The church held the following major events: Two Block Parties & Vacation Bible School...

Once again, the cloud was taken up and NCBC followed it from Oak Cliff to Ross Avenue. During this time, space was leased from its owner, first the YWCA Headquarters, and later, the Dallas Can Academy. The church held the following major events: One Block Parties & Commendation Banquet.

Foreign ministry was embarked upon while continuing participation in numerous local ministries. NCBC Evangelist Team traveled as far south as Uvalde, Texas and Reynosa, Mexico; as far north as Greenville, Texas; and as far abroad as Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The purpose of these mission trips was to win souls for Christ - preach the gospel message to the unsaved!

"So it shall be, when the Lord your God brings you into the land of which He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give you large and beautiful cities which you did not build, "houses full of all good things, which you did not fill, hewn-out wells which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant --when you have eaten and are full--then beware, lest you forget the Lord."

~Deuteronomy 6:10-12

New Creation immediately moved in and took possession of the land. Since that time, new ministries have been added and the membership has increased in number with saints who are both gifted and talented.

"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you".

~Matthew 6:33

It's when you are focused on the mission at hand - "making disciples" and being thankful for what you already have, in Christ, that God shows up in ways you cannot even began to fathom! What an awesome God we serve!
